Cardservice International is a young vibrant company who desire a space that reflects their culture and supports their lifestyle. The layout conceived by Conner Design in response to this design objective provides everyone from the directors, staff and clients, an airy and bright yet cozy space. The interior core space is dedicated to supporting functions such as a kitchen, lunch room and game room. Hard wall offices are minimized to allow for large communal work spaces with uninterrupted views. The pods of workstations in these collective office areas are separated from circulation paths with a distinct floor finish and are anchored using floating ceiling clouds. The remaining ceiling is left exposed, making the space feel more expansive and providing the opportunity to use the repetitive rhythm of the air conditioning duct work as an aesthetic element. The conference room and director's offices that require hard walled spaces are made less obtrusive and more transparent through the use of bright accent colors and aluminum & glass walls.
